What to include in a vehicle export quotation

A useful comparison starts with the same vehicle version and the same commercial scope. The headline vehicle price alone does not establish the landed cost.

Vehicle details

State brand, model, trim, model year, steering position, powertrain, color, condition and quantity. Specify the VIN when the offer relates to an identified vehicle.

Price and commercial term

Ask for currency, quotation validity, payment milestones and the named place or port under the agreed trade term. Establish exactly what the seller's price includes.

Logistics and documents

Identify inspection, export handling, loading, freight, insurance and documentation charges. Confirm who pays each item and who supplies the required documents.

Destination costs

Obtain local estimates for duties, taxes, port handling, clearance, storage, inland transport and registration. Do not assume these costs are included in a vehicle or freight quotation.

Timing and after-sales responsibilities

Confirm availability, preparation time, estimated sailing schedule, delay handling, warranty coverage, claim procedure and the responsible service party in writing.
